I was going through some pictures and doing some organizing and forgot about these. I took them last year, I’m still working on this project, I have a date to return next month to capture more beauty of these precious and beautiful horses.

I am really passionate about horses so over the last several months I have been documenting them through my lens. Something about their strength and their beauty, their gentle souls…I am fasincated with them, I think my love affair with horses started when I was a little girl and my mom used to take me riding. Something about those memories – smelling the fresh hay, seeing for miles and miles nothing but land and open pasture, the smell of the leather saddle, the rhythmic motion of brushing the horse over and over again…to this day whenever I ride something settles over me and I feel like a little girl all over again, I feel like I am home.
I’m not really sure what will come of this project but all I know is it feeds my soul.
