2011 Booking

Wow…can you believe 2011 is just around the corner? Where has this time year gone? I feel like that is a question I ask myself every year. I apologize for being so absent around here, it’s hard to describe the last few months…it’s been a roller coaster of many things…wonderful and inspiring things and on the other hand lots of stress and wanting to pull out my hair. =) But alas….the holidays have begun…time for cheer, family and lots of laughter. I plan to enjoy every minute of it..and I hope you do too! With that being said…I’m going to also celebrate my family and my loved ones in the new year by scheduling some well needed family time with them. What does that mean? That means…I am not going to schedule any sessions until March 15th 2010…I’m going to take the months of January and February and really replenish myself, focus on family and perhaps even pick up a good book again which I haven’t had any time to do either. I sure appreciate your understanding…all sessions will resume March 15th and beyond. PLEASE remember that I book out 4 weeks in advance…so please plan on contacting me 4 weeks before you would like to do a session.

P.S. If I have already spoken to you about a session January or Febuary then still plan on those dates and now I leave you with these two cuties…one of the adorable sessions from the Fall that I did…hopefully as things wind down I will be able to post all the beautiful families I have had the chance to photograph and catch up on all my blogging.

New Website!

Wow – I have forgotten the work that goes into updating your website!! I’m ashamed to admit that it’s been so long since I have even looked at my website. I’ve mostly just posted updated work on this blog but finally I sat down and went through the last several hundred images from the last couple of years and I just finished it!! Hooray! I feel like this has been a huge burden off my of my shoulders, I may just do the happy dance now that it’s complete!

Please check it out! A personal thank you goes out to all of my clients – just looking through all of these images, seeing all my wonderful clients over the years and the love they have for each other makes me so happy. I love documenting these times in your lives!

It will take you to Julie’s pregnancy photos that I did at her home in San Francisco…

I think the “featured” section is a great addition as now prospective clients can see an entire session from start to finish..

I’m alive! First off, thank you so, so much to everyone who commented on Bab’s slide show. It means a great deal to me that you took the time to view the images and your words mean a great deal, so thank you!

Do you ever feel completely overwhelmed with things? That is about where I am at right now..I have so much on my plate that sometimes I wonder if I am really doing a good job at all because I feel pulled in a thousand directions right now..but I have much to post. One day at a time, right? Coming up…a bridal session and two weddings…so stay tuned and check back in a couple of days!! Oh yes, and my 365 project…lots of images to come from that as well!!

A San Francisco Workshop

So last Thursday, I attended a workshop by Anna Kuperberg. Some of you have seen the photographs of my own family that she took of us last year in San Francisco while we were visiting. Anna is a rare bred in this industry and one that is a true artist of her craft. What I loved about this workshop is it focused on creativity and how to foster creativity within ourselves. I walked away with so many wonderful ideas about how to be more creative in my everyday life and how to bring out that creativity when I work with my clients. After the workshop, Anna invited us all to dinner where we went to a great brewery, had some great food and had some wonderful conversations about life, our passion for photography and everything in between!! I met so many inspiring photographers and walked away from this workshop with a new zest of excitement of what is to come!!

I’m alive! Or at least that is what I feel like…for the past 3 days my entire system was down..what a pain.

We leave tomorrow morning for Hawaii. I think we arrive in Hawaii about 4pm which is 8pm Utah time, right? There always seems to be so much to do before you leave for a vacation and then you always need another mini vacation when you get back! I am looking forward to some new inspiration for this 365 project. I could really use it right about now. =) In fact this picture from today #65 means I only have 300 more pictures to go!! Ha! Ha! I’m glad I committed to this project on my blog because I really think that if I wouldn’t of typed my plan out and sent it out to the “cyber world” then I probably would of stopped by now! So thanks for reading and helping me to keep my word. =) Aloha!!

a few things

The San Francisco sessions are sold out! I’m looking forward to meeting each of you that signed up! Should be a lot of fun! I also have a beautiful maternity session that I am so excited about while I am there, not to mention a workshop I am attending! It will be a busy and fun week and I’m super excited!

In a few more days we will be on our way to Hawaii. We leave Thursday and will be back next week, we are staying on the big island of Hawaii. I’ve been to Kauai and Maui but not the big island so should be a fun adventure! Does anyone have any recommendations on fun things to do?
