This past Saturday we threw a small birthday party for my son who turned three…he loved his cake and especially the sparklers that he got to blow out.

The very next day we took this photo of him..he was so excited for his first tricycle.

Oh, this picture makes me sad…we had to take him to his 3 year check up and he had to have some shots on Monday. Poor guy…he quit crying right after this and got a sticker and a sucker so he was a happy camper. I always hate when it’s “shot time” at the Dr’s.  I also realized through this project that I was trying to hard to make every single one of my photos “pretty” rather then meaningful. So…I’ve decided to put a new spin on this project for myself..I am striving for meaningful photos not just pretty ones and if they end up being both – meaningful and pretty then great but really I want to look back on this project in 5, 20 years from now and remember what I was doing day to day…going to the Dr’s….watching Jack play….not just what a pretty flower looked like.
